The current high cost of removing and disposing of spoil makes mini piling very cost effective. London Piling offers a fast and friendly service for all domestic situations and the advice is free. So please contact us by clicking here to arrange for a visit.

Mini Piling

The mini piling solutions offered are ideal for foundation problems:

In limited access locations such as house extensions and conservatories where spoil excavation and removal would be both difficult and expensive;

In built up areas where noise and vibration are a consideration and are particularly cost effective when compared to conventional systems;

In limited headroom locations within buildings for alterations to existing structures or for new work such as lift pits, machine bases etc.

In all small piling contracts such as foundations for a single house where the cost of mobilizing large equipment and the cost of the site preparation required would be prohibitive.

Underpinning

The Underpinning solutions available include a number of tried and tested systems incorporating mini-piles and reinforced concrete beams or slabs, some which can be carried out entirely from outside the existing building minimizing disruption and therefore cost.

Settlement or subsidence problems tend to be specific to a particular property so the underpinning solutions we propose are individually designed to suit. The underpinning techniques can be used for the stabilization of failing foundations or for the upgrading of foundations or slabs to allow increased capacity for a change of use.

Auger bored piles 150mm dia to 300mm diameter

Augered piles are formed using small tracked machines which use sectional flight augers normally in 1M sections to drill at the subsoil to give an open bore.

The final load capacity is dependant on the depth of the pile, the diameter of the bore and the shear strength and bearing strength of the soil. These piles are often formed with a heave sleeve in the top section to alleviate the effects of ground heave common in clay soils.

A high slump sulphate resisting concrete is used with full length reinforcement.

Piled Under-Pinning

London Piling offers a full range of piled underpinning solutions some of which can be installed completely outside the property minimising the disruption to the householder and costs.

Every underpinning problem is unique and so every solution is individually designed, if you have an underpinning problem please make use of our free advice and costing service by contacting us.

Rotary Piling

Rotary rigs create the pile bore by removing the soil in sections, approximately a metre deep, until the design depth has been reached. At this stage full depth reinforcement cages, steel sections or permanent casings can be easily installed prior to the placement of concrete.
